** LEAVE NO TRACE **
Please honor the environment. Litter harms the beach and kills
wildlife, especially birds. Everything you bring to the event should leave with
you.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ON THE BEACH. It’s legal in some
places, but it’s a bad idea everywhere around Copalis Beach. The sand is soft.
Your vehicle will get stuck and you will have to be winched out, even if you
have a 4x4. Depending where you get stuck, your vehicle may also be swamped
when the tide comes in. Even if you manage not to get stuck, beach driving is
harmful to the beach environment and local wildlife. Locals know exactly where
it is safe to drive, but you don’t. Please don’t risk it.
Parking
Parking in the immediate area of the bridge is illegal, and there is signage to
this effect. It is unusual for cars parked illegally to be ticketed or towed,
but be aware this is possible. Please
use your best judgment when deciding where to park!
Legal street parking is
available a few blocks away:
From Heath RD, Turn Left
onto McCullogh Rd
Turn Left onto Lakeside
Drive.
It is legal to park
along Lakeside Drive or Woodland Lane.
** Please respect the neighbors and leave the neighborhood
quietly. If you disturb the locals, it will draw unwanted attention to our
event! **
